Showroom Hostess/Host is the first person to handle the customers and is responsible for handling the front office of any business. They attend to the customers coming into the showroom, handle their queries, try to resolve problems raised and act as coordinator between the showroom facility and customer requests.

Femasdi Girisa — Comes from a BPL family whose six members depend completely on farming, earning about INR 20,000 a year. She had to say no to further education after passing her 10th standard, and wanted to do something to help her family. She joined a sales training programme offered by DB Tech in Nagaland, which helped her learn skills to handle different customers confidently, operate a computer and communicate effectively. She got selected at Jack & Jill, an exclusive showroom in Dimapur, Nagaland, and works there with great satisfaction. 'I always used to think that doing a job is a very difficult task, as one needs to work for long hours and obey his/her seniors. But now, I find it really pleasing, I am learning so many new things to deal effectively with the people around,' she said. She presently earns a monthly salary of INR 6,500, of which she spends INR 1,500 on herself and the rest on her family; she now wants a promotion to supervisor. Her parents say D.B. Tech has given her a good platform to make her career bright.
