Overview
Naturopathic Doctors are educated and trained in naturopathy. It is a health care system based on natural therapies, underpinned by the fundamental belief that, given the right conditions, the body has an innate ability to heal itself. Some important treatments of naturopathy are: spinal bath, spinal spray bath, steam bath, sauna bath, sun bath, wet sheet pack, chest pack, abdomen pack, magnet therapy, acupuncture, acupressure, reflexology and physiotherapy among others.

Work environment
It is a desk job. You will need to handle a team of nurses and other medical staff. Local travel is not a part of this job role. Part-time work and contractual jobs are available. Hospitals and clinics usually work for 6 to 7 days. You are likely to work 9 to 10 hours 6 days a week. This may vary from clinic to clinic. Shift system may be available. Entrepreneurship: you can set up your own private practice.

Route 1
- 1Completing 10 + 2 in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)
- 2Complete Bachelor's degree (B.N.Y.S.) in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences.
Alternative route 2
- 1Complete a Diploma in Naturopathy.
Alternative route 3
- 1Complete a Bachelor's degree followed by an M.D. in Naturopathy followed by a Ph.D.
