Example from the field

Priti — As a young girl she would watch her father closely and learn from him. She was very interested in carpentry and learned everything just by watching, making her first cupboard at the age of 20, which she also managed to sell. She started her first workshop in 2014 and was the only woman assistant carpenter there. Trained in business development under the Skill India mission, she now dreams of opening a large showroom someday, and her business is steadily growing. She gets very annoyed at the gender discrimination still rampant at her workplace and is of the opinion that everyone is capable of any work, and that no work is too big or too small.
